Dishonored 2 (live action trailer) - Bethesda Softworks
Compositor @ Iloura Sydney - 2016

This was a short but really fun project I worked on at Iloura Sydney and was one of the highlights of my time there. I was working for my VFX Supervisor from Deepwater Horizon, Jason Billington, and the only other compositor on the show was the very lovely and talented Ben Wilson.

The work was divided fairly cleanly between the characters, with Ben taking the shots featuring Corvo Attano and me focusing on Emily Kalwdin's shots. The exception to this was Ben took on the awesome wide shot of Emily fighting the clockwork robot (I composited the following shot of the sword taking off the robots head).

While I had fun compositing the robots into the throne room at the start of the trailer, I particularly enjoyed working with Iloura's FX guru Sam Loxton on the shot where Emily transitions out of the stealthy smoky hands and sort of apparates into her corporeal self as she landed. We were very much left alone to figure out the best way to go about this and finding the right balance of shaping and colour during the transition was fun stuff.
